Ohana Project

Ohana Project

A Spanish Colonial Revival home, in the Carmel Valley.
We referred to the work of George Washington Smith peppered with a modicum of thoughtful Moorish details.

This is one of our favorite projects and for one of our favorite couples. It was initially started while I was a Senior Designer at Tucker and Marks. It took about three-plus years to complete. The clients are incredibly loyal and have become dear friends and part of our extended Ohana. We have continued to do refreshing of various areas over the years, as needed. It's a magical setting, on a mountain in a grove of California Live Oak Trees. We put a lot of love into this home and I think it shows-our friends adore their home! It really is their sanctuary. The collection of antique Spanish doors (which we sourced from Madrid), the antique carpets, and unusual textiles and Antique furniture imbue the house with a very special spirit fitting for a very special family.
